Dahabiya cruises are small Nile cruisers powered by wind, rather than motor. When traveling by Dahabiya, one has the advantage of experiencing the silences and natural sounds of the Nile. You also get to visit the small islands in the area, which is not possible on bigger Nile cruises.

Dahabiya cruises provide all the facilities of large cruise ships while offering the advantage of a more intimate setting. Dahabiyas have only 16 passengers, compared to an average of more than 120 guests on a large cruise boat.

The name Dahabiya comes from the Arabic word, Dahab, meaning Gold. Dahabiya, was given its name from the golden color of the original Dahabiyas, originating in the 1920s. Technical Information:

The Dahabiya is 41 m long and 7.5 m wide, with a depth of 1.3 m and a draft of 0.7 m. Each boat has two silent generators.

There are 8 cabins (6 regular cabins and 2 suites). Suites are 5m x 3.5 m, and regular cabins are 4.5m x 3 m, each with its own washroom with hot water and full bath, A/C, wardrobe, and two double beds. The entrance to each room is 1 m. The suites have all the same amenities as regular cabins, as well as their own private balcony and queen beds

The Dahabiya has a kitchen, 2 restaurants (one on the sundeck and one next to the reception), a lounge with reception, crew room, a bar, a small game and book collection available for guest use, and a sundeck with lounge chairs. The sundeck is 240 m2
